Pete and Berta Cloud of Morristown, Tennessee, joyously celebrated 71 years of wedding bliss on September 11, 2025. United in marriage at Thorn Hill Baptist Church in Tazewell, Tennessee, by the late Rev. Earnest Davis on September 11, 1954. The Cloud are members of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Morristown, Tennessee.
On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Tennessee Picnic Association held its 2025 Little Miss Tennessee Princess Contest and MAN-UP Fashion Show in the auditorium of Cocke County High School. Avianna Thornton, second from left, was crowned Little Miss Tennessee Princess 2025!

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the pastor, officers, members, and friends of Lee Street Missionary Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia gathered at the Delta Hotel in Bristol, VA, to kick off the 160th Anniversary of the church with a banquet. The celebration continued on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Lee Street Baptist Church.

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Jamaican native Ms. Tedra Bennett inspired the congregation at Shiloh Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN, with her first sermon “Right Choices, Divine Outcome”, from Ruth 1:16-18. Ms. Bennett received her ministerial license after delivering her sermon by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Calvert, the senior pastor of Shiloh.
On July 27, 2025, Houston Chapel Church in Mohawk, Tennessee, observed its 116th Homecoming, “Overcoming Challenges”, based on Philippians 4:13. Due to extreme heat and no air condition the observance was held at Tate Chapel United Methodist Church in Greeneville, TN, with Pastor Pfungwa Muyambo, the pastor of Tate Chapel serving as the host pastor.
Miss Lanyah Outsey, a twenty-six-year-old individual, was awarded the title of Karns Miss Fair Lady 2025 during the Karns Fair Lady Pageant held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Karns, Tennessee.
